Read the hotel reviews before booking. If you want to search for a hotel or learn about a specific hotel, you should check multiple portals. Note the number and timeliness of ratings. As the demands and expectations of different people are very different, also their reviews of the same accommodation can be very different. Always read several reviews (positive and negative). Pay attention to the language. If it sounds like in a catalogue, the assessment could be manipulated. Consider the score of different nations and ages, who have very different ideas about quality standards have. The purpose for which a traveller booked a hotel may be relevant, as for example, business travellers have different interests than leisure tourists.
Take a look at the hotel photos. Pictures are often more meaningful than long words. On Holidaytester.com you can also view some pictures and sometimes videos that are sent by users to add emphasis to their review.
Write a review. Rate a hotel only if you have actually stayed there. Justify your opinion as carefully as possible. In that way, other users gain a real advantage from your hotel review. Please also add useful statements as for example: "I disliked the food," instead of saying: "The food is bad." Factual allegations must be proven. Avoid personal attacks against individuals, as defamatory statements are not allowed here.
Ask. If after several hotel reviews, you still can’t decide which hotel to choose or if you have further questions - just send us a message using the contact form and we will assist you as soon as possible. We are available for you seven days a week.
